TLC once said "don't go chasing waterfalls"...but I think they're wrong.

On a hot July day that was calling for rain, I set out to Hamilton with my lovely couple for what has turned into one of my favourite photoshoots to date.

Ashley & Jeremy wanted their engagement photos to feel reminiscent of the day they got engaged at Indian Falls, Owen Sound. The two of them trusted me to capture their love story through a series of hiking, climbing, and getting soaking wet.

"Are you okay getting wet, and possibly dirty?"

I had to ask, because I had ideas of how this shoot might go and I wanted no surprises. Ashley was all in to help create this incredible shoot. First we hiked up to a bridge overlooking a waterfall. I took some wide shots of them dancing and playing around on the bridge. We made our way back down to the main trail and that's when the real adventure began.

Carefully treading through water right up to the falls, these two love birds were holding hands, cuddling, and sneaking kisses the entire time. Like something from a romantic movie, the two of them made out under the water. Totally drenched but not breaking for anything. Its easy to see how much they love each other and why they're a perfect match.

My advice? Do the adventure shoot. Be okay with getting wet and possibly dirty. The photos will tell your love story, you'll create new memories, and the emotion is so authentic.
