When it comes to wedding venues in Southwestern Ontario, we are spoiled—like, “how do you even choose?!” levels of spoiled. As a wedding photographer based in the Kitchener-Waterloo area, I’ve had the absolute joy of working at some of the region’s most beautiful spots. A few have become familiar favourites, and others are places I love photographing at every chance I get.
Whether you’re newly engaged or deep into venue hunting mode, these three spots—River’s Edge, Timber Barn, and Puddicombe House—are all dreamy in their own way. Think riverside views, charming architecture, cozy vibes, and so many perfect photo moments.
1. River's Edge – Paris, Ontario
River’s Edge is nestled along the Grand River in the heart of Paris, Ontario—aka Canada’s prettiest little town. It’s part of Carmen’s Group, and I’m proud to be a preferred photographer at River’s Edge and all other Carmen’s Group venues. This space offers the perfect mix of natural beauty, historic charm, and modern romance. It's a total gem.
Why I love it here:
- Big windows, exposed brick, and soft lighting
- You’re steps away from charming bridges and the iconic crosswalk for photos—instant fairytale energy.
- I know the ins and outs of this venue and love working with their amazing team to make your day seamless and stress-free.

2. Timber Barn – St. Jacobs, Ontario
If you’re dreaming of rustic charm with an elevated vibe, Timber Barn is an absolute stunner. I’ve photographed here and would love to shoot more weddings at this beautiful venue—it’s a place that checks all the boxes and then some.
Photographer perks:
- Their outdoor riverside ceremony option is peaceful and full of romantic charm.
- Indoors, those wooden beams and warm tones create a cozy, editorial-style backdrop.
- You’re close to scenic trails, sweet bridges, and the village of St. Jacobs—perfect for portraits that feel timeless and a little adventurous.

3. Puddicombe House – New Hamburg, Ontario
With its elegant Victorian architecture, lush gardens, and riverside setting, Puddicombe House is an absolute classic. I’m a preferred vendor here, and it’s always such a joy to work with their team and photograph weddings that are both timeless and heartfelt.
Why I recommend it:
- I’ve captured dreamy winter weddings here, complete with snow-dusted gardens and cozy interior shots.
- In the warmer months, their riverside ceremony option brings all the romantic outdoor energy.
- Just like the others, Puddicombe is close to scenic bridges and riverside views—perfect for portraits you’ll want to print and frame forever.

All three of these venues—River’s Edge, Timber Barn, and Puddicombe House—are stunning in their own way. From outdoor ceremony options to nearby river and bridge photo ops, they each offer something unique and beautiful.
If you're planning your wedding at one of these venues (or you're considering them!), I’d love to be part of your day. I know how to work with each location’s unique features to make your photos feel like you—warm, real, and unforgettable.
Let’s create something beautiful together.
