You know a wedding is going to be unforgettable when there’s a literal snowstorm happening. Eve and Aaron’s intimate brunch wedding at Hauser Hall in Heidelberg was cozy, heartfelt, and full of the kind of love that makes you forget how cold it is outside. Despite the wild weather, every single guest made it, proving that when people love you, they will show up—snowbanks and all. Hauser Hall is such a hidden gem for weddings near Kitchener-Waterloo. With its massive windows and stunning grand staircase, it has that old-world charm that just works for a winter wedding. The soft natural light coming through those windows? Absolute perfection for photos. And when the snow started falling outside? Let’s just say it was one of those "are we in a romance movie?" moments.

Eve and Aaron’s ceremony was everything a wedding should be—personal, meaningful, and full of laughter (thanks to their officiant, Nathan Grieve, who always keeps things light and fun).

One of the most special parts of the ceremony was the Scottish tradition of a knot-tying ritual. With a rope wrapped around their hands, they literally tied the knot, symbolizing their bond and commitment. I love when couples add traditions that are personal to them—it makes the day even more special.Let’s be real: brunch weddings are underrated. After the ceremony, everyone warmed up with a full spread catered by Stone Crock in St. Jacobs. Eve’s bouquet as well as the other florals, designed by Belmont Flowers in Kitchener, was the perfect mix of soft neutrals and rich winter tones.

Winter weddings in Kitchener-Waterloo, Cambridge, and Guelph don’t get enough love, but this day proved why they should. The snowstorm made everything feel extra cozy, the venue had that perfect old-world charm, and the entire day was filled with love, laughter, and really good food.

If you’re planning a wedding and wondering if a winter date is the right move—this is your sign. Snow might not be guaranteed, but gorgeous, love-filled photos? That’s a sure thing.
