I recently had the absolute pleasure of photographing the beautiful wedding of Sarahjane and Jay on a charming family farm in Hamilton, Ontario
This day was filled with so many heartfelt moments, and I'm excited to share some of the highlights with you all.
The morning started with a bit of rain, but by the time the ceremony began, the sky had cleared to a lovely overcast, perfect for capturing the day's special moments. Sarahjane and Jay chose to have their wedding on Jay's family farm, with the ceremony set in front of a picturesque pear orchard. The rustic theme was evident throughout, with mismatched wooden chairs adding a unique and cozy touch to the ceremony setting. Jay’s groomsmen were absolute troopers, spending the morning drying off all the chairs to ensure everything was perfect.
One of the most touching moments of the day was Sarahjane's first look with her dad. Seeing the emotion in their eyes was a testament to the close bond they share. It was a moment that I’m sure neither will ever forget. Sarahjane and Jay's adorable two-year-old daughter, Paisley, stole the show as the flower girl. Her sweet presence added an extra layer of joy to the ceremony.
The wedding was a beautiful blend of cultures and traditions.
Sarahjane’s Scottish heritage was honored with many of the men in her family wearing traditional kilts, including her father. Jay complemented this perfectly in his stylish tartan suit.
After the heartfelt ceremony, we moved to the pear orchard for Sarahjane and Jay's newlywed portraits. This setting held special significance as it matched their engagement portraits, creating a beautiful continuity in their love story.
As the evening set in, the celebration moved to the reception, where the live band, The Dirty Pioneers, set the tone for an unforgettable party. The dance floor was alive with energy, laughter, and some truly impressive dance moves. It was clear that everyone was having an incredible time, and the night was filled with fun and joy.
Sarahjane and Jay's wedding was a day to remember, not just for them, but for everyone who had the honor of sharing in their joy. Congratulations to the happy couple!
