If you’ve been dreaming of a unique wedding venue in Ontario that brings all the tropical vibes without hopping on a plane — here is the inspiration you’ve been looking for. Noora and Kyle’s winter wedding at the Cambridge Butterfly Conservatory was cozy, romantic, and full of so much personality… and I’m still swooning.

As a wedding photographer based in Kitchener-Waterloo, I’ve shot in all kinds of weather and settings, but this one? It was something special. Their day started at home — the girls were upstairs in matching tracksuits (yes, Noora’s said “wifey” on the butt, and yes, I loved it), while the guys got ready in the basement, which had this vintage lounge vibe with a bar. So much character right from the jump.

Kyle wore a green velvet jacket that completely stole the show — so cool, so personal, and it looked incredible in photos. After a sweet and quiet first look on their balcony (cue all the tears), we stepped outside for wedding party photos in the snow. I’m always down for a snowy portrait session, and this crew absolutely nailed it.

Then we took a total turn — from winter to warm and tropical — for their ceremony at the

Butterfly Conservatory in Cambridge, Ontario. This venue is a total gem for couples who want something intimate, lush, and wildly beautiful. Noora and Kyle exchanged vows under the waterfall inside the conservatory, surrounded by birds, butterflies, and that soft humidity that makes everything feel alive. If you’re looking for a Cambridge wedding venue that feels like a destination without the travel, this is it.

They also added a personal twist during the ceremony — a butterfly release that doubled as a gender reveal (they’re expecting a baby girl later this year 🦋). It was such a joyful, unexpected moment, and honestly? One of my favorite parts of the day.

As a photographer, it’s always an honour to document weddings like this — full of warmth, connection, and love you can feel. Noora and Kyle are madly in love in the sweetest, most genuine way, and their entire day was such a reflection of that.
